Greetings InZOI team, my Canvas name is JLoved. After Playing for days, here are my suggestions:
This DLC is a wonderful concept, and I love the attention to detail within the game. It was well executed, leaving there to be minor fixes to be made which is honestly great. I think you guys are on the right track and I’d like to personally say I admire the care and attention being placed in the game. I know that overtime this game will get even better. Thank you for including us players in an integral part of improving the game. To start off:
There should be more families visiting the resort. I did see ONE family occupying a room in game. But ALL the townies had access to that one room except my Zoi. For more context, I was on a date at the resort (there was an option to select one of the resort rooms as the meet up location) and I saw some townies inside the one resort room behind a door with the lock symbol. I wasn’t able to enter, but my Zoi’s date and anyone else that walked by was able to enter.
Career Related Rewards and Promotions. This one is self-explanatory. I would work my Zoi to the point of what I thought would be a raise or a promotion. But it ended up being just a full meter with no promotion, incentives, or raises, nada. My Zoi would go above and beyond doing extra tasks outside of her work hours just to be met with… a full work meter. I tried with four different career paths, and it is the same results. Please work on this because My Zoi is just going to resort to scamming people if there is no real encouragement to work. Those paper bags full of money on the street gave my Zoi more money than her own job.
Night Life in Cahaya. I know it may be common for people to go home and stay there once it hits around 8pm. But I was certainly expecting some nightlife going on. I’m not referring to people walking around. I see plenty of that. I am speaking more towards the bars being empty and clubs and arcades, n couples at the beach, etc. being vacant as well. I don’t see anyone trying out those waterslides but my Zoi alone. After 9PM, My Zoi and a few workers are at the bar. Usually, on vacation, people tend to take advantage of the Resorts Amenities UNLESS they have an excursion in the Morning. I was trying to kick it with a few Zoi’s but, aside from the workers who were cleaning up after a long shift, My Zoi was the only one there just watching them. It is the Same on the beach with the bag seats as well. In the daytime though, everything seems alive. I see people interacting with each other. But, No one is using the Amenities, at all. Yet, everyone is at the beach chatting it up. This brings me to my next point.
More Zoi’s participating in activities. As I have mentioned or hopefully tried to explain, No one is using the amenities but my Zoi. No one is scuba diving. No one is Swimming at the pool or the beach. No one is using the waterslides. No one is eating at the Amenity Room. It’s empty.
MORE Quests or Rare Opportunities. More Random popups requiring our decision with minimal impact on our Zoi would be interesting. For example, a long-lost relative sent a card with some Meow Coins to Celebrate our Zoi Moving in their new home. It’s not necessary but would keep players engaged.
Calling the Police. Okay, this one is just because my Zoi got beat up. My Zoi was selling my fruits and veggies from her garden, and she was doing what she had to do to get a sale. She was shaking those ankles! Anyway, some wicked woman snuck up while My ZOI was performing for sales and STOLE my beautiful MANGO!
I tried (MULTIPLE Times) to confront the thief by fighting her and my ZOI lost every…single…time.
I was like, “THE ONE TIME I NEED THE POLICE,” and the police are just there, starring at the situation. No intervention. Just… watching. I think it’s safe to say we should be able to call the police to intervene in situations like this. Or since they were already patrolling the area, they should engage. And possibly create consequences for calling the police for no reason as well (A warning, then a fine, then imprisonment perhaps). But that thief though, she needs to be placed in hand cuffs because that was so embarrassing. I need that option of calling the Police for Help.
My husband’s Suggestion: Multiplayer Option. I got My husband to play. And he is really enjoying the game as well. He peaked over what I was doing with my Zoi and proposed an idea: “What if I was able to bother you in game like I do in real life?” He’d love the option to play with me or my brother-in-law in-game. I know that IF this feature was ever to be included, we would probably be a few DLC’s out from getting that feature. But I do agree that Multiplayer would give InZoi a crazy Edge. This brings me to my next point.
Group Activities: Right Now, there is an option to sit at loveseat with another person, but it doesn’t work. And I think it is because of the filtering System. I tried to sit with my Zoi’s boyfriend, and I couldn’t find him anywhere in the options of available Zoi’s to sit with. They have a full romance and Friendship meter. I looked under all categories and there weren’t ANY Zoi to choose from. I also tried eating as a group. That didn’t work either. When I selected “Call to Meal” My Zoi grabbed her plate and sat down but didn’t eat. Any action in the action Tab was greyed out and she was stuck… the game froze… And the other Zoi didn’t even get up to get her portion of food. I think it is fair to say that this still needs to be worked on.
Family Dynamics. Relationship Dynamics. Consequences for our actions in relationships. My Zoi is friendly… And I mean very friendly. She has two people who are her Soul Mates I guess and a few Mutual Crushes, a few flirts. No Husband… Yet . She was putting in that work.
BUT where is the jealousy? The Rage? The Crazy responses we would expect from being unfaithful? Why is my Zoi able to flirt with every male Zoi and no one bats an eye? Bring back shame! lol
I need to see some real-life consequences! If you saw a man flirt with a stranger and then come to you spilling the SAME LINES and flirting with you, I don’t think you would be impressed. Zoi’s should react with disgust if they witness that. Another example is: You just saw your man kissing another woman, confront them, cry in despair. React. Do Something! But there shouldn’t be a
blank nonchalant reaction to my Zoi’s unruly actions. Because if they are going to be nonchalant, at least create a decision-making objective (or ultimatum). Have them end the relationship or set boundaries healthy boundaries. And it’s crazy that the whole village watched my Zoi flirt with every male and not one person is whispering about it or reacting with disapproval.
Taking PAID Leave from Work. In another save file, My Zoi’s husband died and my Zoi and her son still had to go to work/school. No time to grieve. I know this may be the case in some circumstances. But they should be asked for paid leave due to those extreme circumstances. And to make it a little interesting, the boss could approve or deny… Or fire… Hey it happens sometimes. Just making things a little interesting to engage users.
Where are the teens and Children in Cahaya? Where are the families? I don’t know if it’s just my save file. But there is only ONE teenager. No children. Two babies… And everyone is single…? I was expecting teens at the Hotel Amenities for sure, but the one teen that exist is the walking the perimeter of the Hotel. No engagement with the amenities from those I expected to see there during the daytime hours. Kids would Love to hitch a ride on the water slide a couple of times. Teenagers would love to go for a swim, go on the slides, eat up all the food and hang out at the arcade. I know all the girls, teen and up would enjoy a nice spa day. We just need more engagement for those who are vacationing.
Trigger Hurricanes, Storms, etc. I just want to be able to trigger one or more… TEEHEE.
These are just a few things I could think of that may need attention, improvement, or consideration. However, despite these things not being there yet, You guys STILL did a very good job. I’ve been glued to the screen for days! Thank you for reading!
