If the devs could add ONLY ONE feature to inZOI tomorrow… what would you choose?

I understand your perspective, but for me the main goal of the post is for us players to talk with each other about these things. It’s been interesting to see what different people consider the most important features or improvements, because that gives a better sense of the community’s priorities, and I have actually learn a lot about the game and considered new perspectives.

One could argue Discord is better for that kind of exchange, but I’ve actually found the opposite. The pace there is so fast and chatty that deeper conversations tend to disappear pretty quickly, while the forum makes it easier to slow down and discuss ideas in more detail.

I share your concerns about where the devs are focusing their attention too. Sometimes the forums do feel like they are not reaching Kjun or the devs. I still think discussions here have value, even if they’re not always directly part of the brainstorming sessions. It’s interesting seeing what different players prioritize.

More meaningful careers feels like something that could really change the long-term gameplay. Right now they’re still pretty unfinished, but with the addition of job interviews and the career rework that it’s in the works we might be getting closer to a deeper career system.

It will be interesting to see what direction the devs take.

No, I don’t think so. For me, posting suggestions is a big chunk of work. This work has a specific time window (from Fri to Wed) on Discord. Usually a suggestion also needs to relate to the topic that’s currently being discussed, so that Discord summary is more likely to include it, because its algorithms can ignore single posts (or rely only on keywords), but they always summarize mass activity. If I’m not ready with one idea but already have a second one, I often rush home, launch Photoshop, quickly sketch out the second idea, and leave the first one for later. Or, if I post the first one in the current brainstorm, I understand it may not get into the focus yet and will need a repost. A lot of loud, repeating requests from brainstorm to brainstorm probably attract attention too, especially when Kjun scrolls manually, much more than a long block of text on a complex topic (that one is actually easier for Discord to process and summarize).

My attitude toward Discord as a way to collect suggestions is normal. It has a lot of automation tools and an uniform feed that the dev team can scroll through easily, e.g. in the Wed morning. I don’t think the forum will ever get that level of attention, and I haven’t posted anything there for a long time except duplicates from Discord.

The game also needs in‑game lobby polls, but probably not on the forum (the reach is too small for proper statistics, and there’s a high chance of double voting if someone also votes in Discord). So there needs to be a single hub for that.

Why I’m not complaining about Discord either.. ok, I work in an office and I like my job, but I’d prefer to work remotely because the office is noisy. But if they don’t give me remote work, my attitude toward the job and the company doesn’t really change… the main thing is having the opportunity.

I can see why Discord works better for that kind of system if the devs are actively summarizing those discussions and using the automation tools there. From that perspective it makes sense that people would focus their effort where it’s most likely to be seen.

It does seem like the forums are a good place for keeping discussion between players, while Discord seems like the place to reach out to the devs for suggestions or complaints. We’re not even getting much feedback here for bug reports either, so it makes sense to focus on Discord.

Agree on the lobby surveys, and it looks like we are getting them at some point based on Kjun’s latest response.

For me, more meaningful careers is a must. I’ve heard we are getting taxi drivers as an active career and cannot wait to try it. For the active careers that exist, I want for the tasks you are given to mean something, with maybe some sort of good employee-bad employee type of reputation system, or your actions affecting customers or the shop itself, in the case of clerks.

Right now it just feels like repetitive pointless gameplay.

Meaningful career seems like a pivotal aspect of the game. I’m kind of excited for the Taxi career too!

I really like this idea. Careers feel like they have a lot of potential if actions actually have consequences. A reputation system (good employee vs bad employee) could make each shift feel different depending on how you play.

For example, maybe helping customers quickly improves your reputation, while ignoring them or making mistakes could lead to complaints, lower pay, or even getting fired. It could also affect the shop itself just as it tends to happen in real life! (Everything minus having workers following you around please haha)

Curious what others think too: what kinds of mechanics would make careers feel more meaningful and less repetitive for you?

being able to save zois with all their outfits :sob: this has been annoying me since release

off the list the ai thing, i like immersion and when the zois react realistic

Yeah, saving Zois with all their outfits would honestly make things so much easier. Having to redo or reassign outfits every time can get pretty tedious, especially when we have to redo our saves so many times just to try new features.

And I agree about the AI too. When Zois react in believable ways it really helps with immersion.

I’m curious what kind of reactions you’d like to see more of from the AI?

i havent play in a while so idk if they updated any of it, i like that the ai gave thoughts about what a zoi is feeling when doing actions, but it felt shallow, because its just a text which doesnt really influence the gameplay itself, currently its more like a nice “accessoiry”

Yeah, I get what you mean. It does feel a bit surface-level right now, like the thoughts are there, but they don’t really do anything yet.

It would be interesting if those thoughts actually influenced behavior more, like affecting how Zois react, make decisions, or even how relationships develop over time. That would make it feel a lot less like just flavor text and more like part of the simulation itself.

I wonder if that’s something they’re planning to expand later on, because the idea is definitely there already, but feels like it could go a lot deeper.

I would definitely choose to delete Urges since most are unachievable and don’t fit with the gameplay I want to play.

That’s interesting, what kind of urges would actually fit your playstyle? More realistic ones? More controllable? Or just optional altogether?

For one the redundant Wanting to Joke with ONLY the first person you ever meet not even your true BFF that you met on purpose, whether they are alive or dead the stupid want is there clogging up the urges and playing goalie with purr coins.

Not to mention the unachievable wants and stupid ones like wanting to ask your child how their day was when it’s a newborn or infant or child and it’s not possible making yet another useless urge playing purr coin goalie.

Wanting to do things that your Zoi doesn’t even want to do stupid redundant going to arcade when they don’t like games or playing claw machines or going to resort when they live in the town and have no need for it.

There are so many useless or unachievable urges that your Zoi can’t earn purr coins cause it stays there forever… or comes back the moment they expire… like Not being interested in Romance with either gender and still getting pushes to meet more people when you play a loner.

I want the urges to randomly select things your Zoi actually PREFERS to do otherwise what is the point of setting preferences if they never want to do anything to do with preferences or go totally against their traits in general.

Yeah, I get what you’re saying. It can feel pretty frustrating when the wants don’t really line up with what your Zoi actually likes or is even able to do. That kind of breaks immersion more than anything.

Ideally, it would be great if wants were more tied to traits, preferences, and the environment so they feel more natural and actually doable, like not having fathers wanting to ask babies about their day haha

I’m just curious, would you rather delete the want system entirely, have the devs make a deep restructuring to avoid these kind of issues, or being able to delete specific wants in game when they don’t match your zoi or you zoi’s situation?

Just letting us delete the urges that stick around far too long would be nice … just like you still cannot delete contacts and the pop up for ringing phone that was added is Way Worse than the texting was I preferred the texting that was unobtrusive the ringing phone takes up a HUGE part of the screen and when it’s ringing and you are trying to click just like urges you can’t click until it goes away on things cause it’s in the way and blocks the things in world

The ringing pop-up sounds way more intrusive than the old texting system, especially if gets in the way of clicking things. Do you mean that the pop up cannot be closed until the ringing is over?

  1. Something completely different.
The ability to control only the camera (without the Zoi) via WASD keys. Currently it feels more like GTA than a life sim. Unfortunately.

It would be nice if they offered both options so people who prefer that GTA-style control can keep it, but others can switch to a more classic life sim camera. I personally love the current style because it is more character driven, more immersive. In my opinion, is one of the key features that make Inzoi different.

I think with the upcoming control customization features you should be able to change camera controls too, though. Do you think that alone would be sufficient, or would you still like some toggle in settings that allowed you to change camera style?

I would really like to have options for that (for everyone). Preferably in the options menu too. I’m having trouble navigating that at the moment.

Ok.. well … great thread by the way :cherry_blossom: A minor feature would be .. when your zoi get’s an invitation to dine out with a friend or to have coffee/tea i really wish they could sit down at the same table with the one who actually invited them out.. it just feels odd when the zoi’s are aiming for a table that is already occupied with strangers …everything is already in the game so the team in basic just need to connect the dots.. also it would be nice if the friend or flirt or colleauge could get something to eat too because your zoi is pretty much the only one eating or drinking.. I have done what most people have done and that is to edit the public properties we are allowed to edit and throw out some chairs and tables and by doing that the zoi’s are now forced to pick their seat based upon how you have created it but sometimes our zoi’s get’s invited to a lot that we cannot do anything about and they just sit down everywhere without reason unless you take control and force them to sit down at an empty table but by doing that there is a huge chance that your meet up will sit down elsewhere and the whole event will be a bust … it just kills the spark, I just love the idea about being invited out instead having your zoi being the host all the time.. we had this problem in the sims 4 but we had the modding community to lean on .Some modders were amazingly talented and they fixed up so our sim could get a call and be invited for a family or just a friendly dinner or a birthday bash and even a friday evening out with the coworkers, some modders even arranged so the kids could get invited out to meet up with their friends at the playground or to be asked if they wanted to come over to play. Some were rabbit hole events like the kids playing with other kids but the idea was fun and when they arrived home again they were happy exhausted but happy  but the main idea was just the same .. it’s nice to be invited out as for a change  it doesn’t have to be all about eating and partying it can be as simple as a meet up to play chess or to take a stroll just to catch up.

But yes back to my wish .. it would nice if they could sit down at the same table with the one who actually invited them out  to begin with hah

Let’s just say i got a long wish list in my notebook with things i would love to see in InZoi but the game really need to focus on becoming steady first :cherry_blossom:

I also got a feeling i am not the only one with having a list of features that they would love to see in this game  but one thing first

We need a solid foundation first :paw_prints:
