It would be really great to say goodbye to my Zois. Right now, I feel awful after making a new friend/best friend and then getting hungry and… running away?
A screaming animation is playing in my head at the same time. “Oh no, I’m hungry, I’d better run away to get something to eat!” - My screaming Zoi.
For example:
Ah, saw at this moment, that already someone wished for this! Farewell for conversations. Can I merge posts, or only mods 
I think it has to be a mod bc my tech issue had a bunch of similar posts after it that I couldn’t merge to mine so I waited for a staff member to do it

For goodness’ sakes, yes, let this be added! It is very strange that there is no way to end a social event in a polite and civilised manner.

Right now it feels kinda weird when you’re having a nice moment and then they just run off because they’re hungry. It breaks the vibe a bit. Having a proper goodbye would make everything feel smoother and more natural.
Your examples are spot on too:
Best friend hug? yes please 
Business bow?? super fitting
And like a “simple wave” for everyone/more normal bye
It would be really cool if it also changed with mood. Like a happy Zoi doing a warm goodbye vs a grumpy one doing a quick wave and leaving. Or even a hesitant goodbye when they actually don’t want to leave yet.
I can’t think of many examples but if anyone has them, let’s share and keep this post engaged for visibility!

I’d even go so far as to say it depends on their personality traits! An introverted Zoi can only display the “shy” option, like a quick wave or a deep bow. And an extroverted Zoi with the “Charm” trait always responds with hugs?
I wanted to write down my wish first, and then we can always look into it. But I think the simplest thing for the developers right now would be to just use the same system as for greetings.
Same for people visiting my house really, they just up and leave without saying anything. Im often looking around my house to see where everyone just went after inviting them.
Another point, it’s kinda weird that my zoi wants to talk to someone else, yet the other is then walking to my zoi for the talk, like they’re telepathic and know i want to talk. Instead my zoi should walk to the other zoi for the convo.
Oh yes, I found that strange at first too. But after a while, I understood what was going on and got used to it.
You should create a separate request for it here in the forum so it gets more attention and discussion, and so the developers actually see it. 
This was a problem in Sims, My sim would want to talk to another housemate and the housemate would stop doing anything and just wait, like you said “telepathic”, maybe inZOI is similar but bringing the zoi that you want to talk to you for convenience lol
