Game is shutting me down.

Ever since the update, I haven’t been able to access the game at all. It just keeps force-closing. The only silver lining is that I had already organized all the information for the 618 characters. It’s a real comfort knowing that I at least managed to salvage the character data. I’ve already tried verifying the integrity of the game files and lowered all the graphic settings to ‘Low’, but it still keeps crashing. What should I do to get back into the game? For reference, I’m using a regular PC (Windows), not a Mac.It’s already been a few weeks since this happened.

Hello @RubberDuck37 , your post has been moved to the Technical Help category since you experiencing crash/force-close. Thank you.

Hey there, thanks for sharing this issue with us :folded_hands: Quite a few players are experiencing launching issues or crashes lately.

Can you please doublecheck the mod folder. Make sure it’s empty, because inZOI sometimes keeps some old remains of mods which might break it.
Here is a thread related to those crashing bugs. Please read through it and try the various suggestions mentioned in there: InZOI Won’t Launch After Hotfix v0.7.2

For example, this official suggestion might help:

There was a bug where smartzoi would cause the game to close as well.
You could try turning it off

thank you! and I will also add that a few workarounds like unplugging the power cord before launching the game bypass the instant crashing or even disabling the hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling feature in Windows (under System > Display > Graphics; Advanced Graphics Settings). The team is still working on bringing a fix to end this issue soon but I’m here if you need any other temporary workarounds until then

They did it! I was finally able to log back into the game. Thank you to everyone who helped! Getting back in after a month feels just like catching up with an old friend over the holidays!
