Details:
I receive notifications from a lot creators every day but I never receive any from @Starwing.
Thank you so much for reporting this. I had no idea.
I wonder if there’s some limit of notifications we can receive in a day? Or is there sometimes a bug with a player’s upload.
I can think of one thing that could be behind this, but it would be best if a technician could take a look at it.

@JoyIsFunner That’s true. I have noticed that I don’t get notifications from some creators, I do see yours but @Starwing I have to go to your profile to see.
I’m going to make a test soon to find out if I can make notifications go through for a few creations I plan to upload.
Edit:
I’m going to upload 3 wall art creations and find out if you get notifications. I took pictures but tagging and uploading will take a little time.
I uploaded all 3 wall art creations. Did you get a notification for any of them? If so, which one(s)?
I just logged in quick and this is what I got in my notification list but I saw there’s 3 new ones on your profile (Stunning btw)
You should contact inZOI support to fix this for you
Yes whatever you did worked, I received 2 or 3 notifications of your cat art, is this issue resolved with a solution?
As I suspected, the bug is caused by: visibility settings.
Because of the bugs that will upload extra textures with your creation than only the texture(s) actually used in the creation (if you’re not careful), or it incorrectly gives credit for your custom texture to another person, I always upload my creations as Private first to make sure everything is okay. Once I confirm that all is well with the upload, I set it to Public visibility.
Unlike YouTube, Canvas apparently fails to notify followers of new Public creations. I tested by uploading them as I usually do, but I deleted 2 of the creations that were uploaded as private, and I re-uploaded them with Public visibility from the start. Those were the only ones notifications were sent for.
The bug is notifications aren’t sent for new Public creations.
It should be sent when the creation is made public, but it only notifies followers if you upload it as Public from the start. That means I’ll have to upload everything twice if I want to make sure none of the Canvas bugs have impacted my creation AND I want my followers to know about my new uploads.

With pictures I haven’t had any issues yet, they have only been uploading the image used, at which Idk why the zois and outfits are not working the same way, the zois and outfits have textures stuck to them that are not being used in the new creation, I reuse my old picture frames and they have been clearing the old images and only uploading the current image.
This is the first time I’ve seen this problem. It had never happened to me before. ![]()
Okay, that’s interesting to know it’s not happening to the wall art.
I discovered that for zois and outfits, any texture once used on that zoi or outfit will remain attached to it. When I’m working on an outfit, sometimes I try a few textures before finding exactly the one I want to use. Now I know I need to start fresh once I know what textures I want to use, but I still like to make sure I didn’t forget.
I don’t know what causes Canvas to sometimes give credit for your custom texture to another creator though. For me, when it happens, it’ll always be the creator I downloaded a custom texture from last, even though I delete those creations and associated textures right after I showcase them in a video. But that one is especially annoying.
The only solution I found is open the creator name tab on the zoi and make sure my name is on all tabs, I have some zois that say other creators are the author of the outfits which is weird because I only downloaded some zois when I first started, and if I’m using a zoi that was downloaded it should show the zoi itself is from someone elce.
Workaround; save face, select new zoi, select saved face ![]()
For me, the false credit can happen with textures I import into the game after I’ve deleted the item and any textures of whatever I showcased from that other creator. I’m not working from anything that I downloaded, but sometimes my next imports will get the wrong creator’s name added as the author. It’s like the game puts the name of the other creator because the textures last added to my game were deleted.
I don’t know. It’s very odd and doesn’t happen very often. It has even happened with textures I generated within the game.
But it’s quite random and rare (thankfully!). I still always double check, though. ![]()
Hmm that could be a problem for me too, I don’t use anyone’s textures other than my own and I delete textures from downloaded creations, nice find ![]()
It’s the same for a creator Bluesky1, we’re not receiving notifications of her creations, several of us reached out to support, she did too to explain the issue and aside from a reassuring response, her problem still hasn’t been fixed, and neither has ours since we follow her.
@CataliaBDX Thank you - I was trying to remember who asked me a while back to check notifications as well and I couldn’t remember so thank you for mentioning Bluesky1 as well.
Yes, I’m sad for her, and ZZee212 and I contacted support. As with some issues here, there’s no follow-up because they’re not considered bugs. The same goes for the problem I created a new thread about (the size of objects uploaded to Canvas is double or triple the actual size on the computer, the same for houses); I haven’t received any follow-up or feedback except for two creators who, having seen the same issue, commented.
It is sad that it’s still ongoing but there seems to be many things that are hanging at the moment. I really hope the inZOI team will have a look at these concerns of ours soon.
Yes! Me too, because as a fan of low poly objects, it annoys me to create objects under 1MB and have Canvas display them at 3MB, when once downloaded from Canvas they’re well under 1MB. So between that and the missing notifications that penalize some creators, maybe in addition to managing the game’s own bugs we should manage the bugs in the mod download centers ![]()
My followers don’t get notifications from me. I always upload my creations in private, because I can check if everything is correctly.and then make it public.
Yesterday I did a test to upload it directly in visibility" public" and that worked!
Immediately I got likes and comments, so my followers did get a notification.
I am in contact with the support team and pointed out what the problem is , I am waiting for an answer.
