[0.9.0] Curseforge "Sync Your Mods" Nobody realizes how critical this issue is.

  • Game Version: All versions

  • Platform: (Steam windows )

  • Mods: (active)

  • Steps to Reproduce: It doesn’t matter which mods they are . If the number of modes exceeds 50, the synchronization screen will constantly open every time you enter the mods screen. “Continue” . Clicking the continue option will delete all your mods (over 50). The synchronization screen needs to be completely removed. Nobody realizes how critical this issue is.

@HeinziDerHeld @itsmechiie7 @mialuce66 @JoyIsFunner ; You can test the problem yourself.

I completely agree! This screen is incredibly frustrating! It constantly wants me to delete all my mods. Why? I didn’t download them just to delete them.
And I should note, I only download mods in-game, not from mod websites.

This problem has existed since the beginning of the game. Stubbornly nobody cares it’s being ignored. @leeloorussia @Carnel

Of course, this needs to be fixed!

For now, I’m deliberately trying to get by with almost no mods, because I’ve run into the problem several times where they become unusable after the next game update. So I haven’t encountered this myself — I simply don’t have 50 mods. But if this same behavior shows up in the game’s release version — of course, that would be a huge problem.

P.S. However, I did run into a slightly different issue. When I went into CurseForge in the game and added a few items from there, I closed the game. I didn’t launch the actual gameplay, just added the items.

And when I decided to actually start playing next time — when I opened the save, messages started appearing about a mismatch between some installed mods and the mods that existed in the saved game. Even though I hadn’t added anything there, and I also hadn’t disabled the other mods that were previously enabled.

In the end, I ignored the message, confirmed that items could be deleted, and loaded the game normally. But the message itself is unclear. Most likely, I didn’t even have mods active in that save, but the game thinks something there might have been deleted. Maybe some NPC clothing disappeared, of course. But if that’s the case — it’s strange, because all the old mods are still enabled.

All this appeared right after adding the new items from CurseForge. That’s quite odd.

The synchronization screen is completely useless on the contrary it harms the user! The sync screen needs to be permanently and irreversibly removed. Why are developers still ignoring this critical issue?

I do not think I will ever reach the 50 limit (you never know, but very unlikely).
Still that should be fixed. I can see how that would be super annoying.

Curseforge is quite thee platform really, for all the good things it has, it can be annoying too!

Always click “Cancel” so it will leave your mods alone.

And thank you for using some of my mods lovely :custom_heart:

This isn’t a solution. Every time we enter Curseforge this keeps appearing on the screen. The SYNC screen needs to be completely removed. This problem is getting tiresome.

I agree with you is what I meant, trust me I know how annoying Curseforge can be.

Hope the team will give us some insight regarding this, I am unsure if they can do anything at all or if it’s on Curseforge’s part entirely.

This probably concerns both sides because it’s integrated into the game.

After wasting hundreds of hours dealing with tens of thousands of mods and custom content for the Sims 3 and 4 all for them not to work all of the time and some never worked to begin with, I’m not going to go that far with inZOI, I might grab a few after final release, but ultimately I’m hoping the devs will give us us a Cross necklace, capri pants and afo leg braces, if they add all three of these I will never need any mods :+1:

My friend but the vast majority of people like mods. Like me. :grin:

I love mods, but in an updating game most stop working, and only some get updated to work again, just try to keep 8000 or so like I did with the Sims :wink:

I have only used mods a few times and stopped when some mods were I compatible - I’m sure I will get to know it a bit better soon (I’ve seen the Mod competition) and I’m sure this will annoy me too if I was using a lot of mods.

As of version 0.9.0 that cursed screen still keeps appearing. :face_with_spiral_eyes: I’m losing interest in entering the mod screen.

You can verify this yourself if you wish. @itsmechiie7 @HeinziDerHeld

“The cursed screen” hahahah this sounded so funny to me!!!

I am sorry it is happening and I do understand your frustration but unfortunately I believe this is a Curseforge issue and not inZoi’s. Maybe we can ask about it in the Curseforge Author’s Discord, what do you think?

Of course can you provide the link?

@HeinziDerHeld @itsmechiie7 @Carnel @LeeLoo @VIBES I think I’ve managed it.

Sorry I had to go and just now see your message, I am glad to see you found the discord :custom_heart:

You’re very kind. Thank you :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
