Game Crashes When Starting Up

  • Hardware Specifications & Operating System (Windows 10, i5-14600KF, 7800XT, 32GB, 1TB):

  • Issue Date: 2026-07-01

  • Error Message: Game crashes and closes when launched

  • Details: Previously could log into the game, but the game would crash and close when entering the character creation and character customization screen for new games. Once continuing a game, it would crash whenever closing the pause menu. Have reinstalled the game multiple times, and now it crashes immediately upon entering the game.

The game crashes after entering the ending cutscene. The game version has already been updated to the latest version.

Welcome to the forums and sorry to hear you are experiencing frustrating crashes. Have you checked the link @HeinziDerHeld provided above? Did any of them help your crash issues?

I checked the content he shared, and I deleted some cache files, but I couldn’t find some other files. After that, I re-downloaded the game, but it still crashes after the opening CG finishes. Does the game have specific requirements for AMD GPU? Currently, my AMD GPU driver is version 25.12.1

Minimum requirements are AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT 6G VRAM. Your GPU driver version seems fine. Are you using Radeon Overlay or any similar program? I’ve had issues with overlays before, they tend to freeze and crash the game a lot.

And this is something maybe silly but it has happened to me before_ do you have more than 80GB free memory on your disk and is windows fully updated to the latest version? It might not be related but sometimes my game starts crashing a lot and is the damned windows 11 update that I’ve been ignoring for a week :laughing:

After updating to the latest AMD driver, I reloaded the shaders and was able to enter the game normally.
