[08.07.26] A Hopeful Harvest (Updated)

That’s really great, thank you! I hope this will be exactly the implementation we discussed earlier on the forum — putting on one outfit suitable for the place being visited and keeping it for the entire time there, unless the player chooses to change clothes forcibly :folded_hands:

Well, actually, they can have children already. Sometimes they get so into it that people have to sell double beds to stop the stream of young Zois joining families

And I want to share a link to a thread I created yesterday here too. Because I understand that a Friday evening isn’t the best time to draw attention to something — everything can get lost before Monday. But it’s very important that you yourselves can see what difficulties players face in practice. Believe me, it’s much more of an inconvenience than babies’ hands being a bit more reddish than they should be. You can play with them without much trouble, but flickering items in front of your eyes is much harder :folded_hands:

Yes, exactly! :+1: And seeing the video, I agree, the animation where they hold hands looks really rushed and unfinished. That’s precisely why I bring up these points too, because I think existing interactions deserve to be pushed further sometimes. But what’s interesting is that the bug also shows that two Zoi can already swim together. So it’s not simply a matter of “it’s technically impossible.” They clearly have the ability to make things work beyond the basic interaction. And that’s exactly what I mean when I talk about depth: sometimes the potential is already there, but certain systems just aren’t pushed far enough.

Same here! I’m really looking forward to finally being able to take my Zoi on vacation.
I just hope the two cities won’t feel like two separate worlds where everything is paused. I’d like both sides to keep living and for us to be able to stay in touch with the people we meet, maintain our relationships, communicate with them, and have those connections actually matter once we’re back home.

I agree! :+1: And I really hope these issues get attention too. I absolutely love InZOI and I just want to see it become the best game possible!

It feels like CAZ only needs a height slider to be truly complete.

No. CAZ needs to be redone. I wrote about this earlier, and last week, under Kjun’s post, I repeated it again.

Remaking CAZ is impossible. It means starting the game from scratch. Why do you want CAZ to be remade?

The principle of creating Zoi + was meant to also add convenient chips - what the players are asking for, including you. And not to redo the whole CAZ.

@Carnel really? I haven’t seen them having children autonomously  is it something new from the last update?

The developers themselves said they’re thinking about merging genetics. Right now it’s different for male and female characters, and it’s quite possible that this is exactly why there’s a bug when families have very ugly male offspring. Plus, the editing freedom is very limited right now - you can’t create a Zoe with a sufficiently narrow head, for example. I’d like more freedom in adjusting, because right now you can’t, say, take an Asian Zoe and turn them into a European Zoe - you’ll always hit a limitation sooner or later where you just can’t get what you want unless you start completely over with a different model.

So if they’re going to redo CAZ - now is the time to do it, before version 1.0. Even if all previously created Zoes become incompatible, or simply need a complete overhaul. Better that than drag these problems into the release. That’s what I think, anyway. But then it will be so interesting to watch the children when they can truly fully inherit their parents’ genetics! I think it’s worth it!

@Neko, there are threads on the forum here about “My Zoe is constantly pregnant” or something like that  And no, that was quite a while ago, I haven’t heard about it recently the other way around. Maybe that’s exactly why they removed it because of complaints?

It’s good news that the disguise system is being finalized, which is what the players requested. The developers are great.:+1: I would also like to add/remind you of my small ideas earlier for consideration by the development team, just about the clothes and appearance of Zoi.

I hope you like it.

We need to add a small feature for Zoi: remove the mask from the criminal. At the same time, work out the system of caps, caps, hats and helmets.
Work out a rain shelter system.
Let's improve the overall Zoi dressing system.
Remove makeup from your face while taking a bath and shower (a small thing, but pleasant)

Interestingly translated into Russian. Were you originally writing in English? I just doubt you meant to write exactly this

And I agree - it’s really great that you listened about the clothing! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :+1: Looking forward to the update where all of this will be implemented.

And even though I’m flying away for a month and won’t be able to play, I’ll be happy to read here on the forum if this gets implemented while I’m away from the game. So I can already check everything out firsthand in September

Yeah, I’ll have to write more simply next time.

I hope the supernatural comes soon I know you guys said you would wait until the game was done but Halloween would be a perfect time for it to come out and make it like a dlc so the people who don’t want it doesn’t have to download it and the people who do can like vampires and werewolves and witches and maybe fairies or warlocks like if you do add witches and warlords or wizards can you add like Wands. I can’t wait until they add animals to keep either I hope you can control the animals like you can the people what they do.

I find it really positive to see that autonomy is being worked on in such a comprehensive and deeper way: the behaviors of the Sims, autonomy between the Sims and now clothing management. These are exactly the kinds of things that could be really annoying in-game, so seeing these aspects reworked to make everything more coherent and natural is really appreciated.

Have a great vacation! :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m very pleased about the improvements to autonomy regarding outfit changes. There’s only one thing that concerns me, which I’ve already written about several times, and it remains unresolved.

It’s the equal treatment of winter and everyday clothing. Many players choose BlissBay and Cahaya where winters are warm, but if you play in Dowon, where it snows and there are frosts, it’s terribly immersion-breaking to see a Zoi walking around the house in a coat, gloves, scarf, and hat but barefoot. With a larger family, changing all the Zois one by one into everyday clothes is impossible.
I’m really asking you to treat winter clothing the same way as shoes. If a Zoi can take off their boots when entering the house, surely it’s possible to change into everyday clothes. At least that’s how it worked in The Sims 2.

I really love Dowon but these problems with winter clothing are ruining my gameplay experience. I like all four seasons and I’m looking forward to some other cities with winter, but for that to make sense, the winter clothing issue should be resolved. Maybe a heating system, if a Zoi’s outfit depends on the outside temperature?
