This issue has been present for as long as I can remember, and as far as I know, it has never been fixed. The issue has remained through multiple game updates.
I am not sure whether this is actually a bug or simply content that has never been translated, but either way, it is a problem for French-speaking players.
I play the game in French, so I can understand most of the text displayed in the game. However, when my Zoi’s thoughts appear only in English, I often cannot understand what my Zoi is thinking or what the game is trying to communicate through these thoughts.
Expected Result:
When French is selected as the game language, the Smart Zoi’s thoughts should also be translated and displayed in French, like the other text in the game.
Additional Information:
This does not seem to be a recent issue. The Smart Zoi’s thoughts have been displayed in English for as long as I have been playing the game.
I therefore do not know whether this is an overlooked localization issue or a technical problem preventing the French translation from being displayed.
I can provide screenshots showing some of these thoughts being displayed in English if needed.
I honestly think it’s just not translated. I think the settings for SmartZoi actually say that it’s only available in English, since it’s still in experimental status.
When I switch to German, for example, the thoughts and everything related to SmartZoi are in English.
That’s true — even if Smart Zoi’s thoughts are still experimental, it might be a little difficult to fully experience them when we don’t understand what our Zoi is thinking. ![]()
I hope this post gets the devs’ attention and that they can look into the translation/localization side of things. It would be great if these thoughts could eventually be available in all the game’s supported languages, not just English, so players who don’t speak English aren’t left out.
It’s only available in English and that’s why I’m not using it.
Yes, I can confirm this too. SmartZoi is only operating in English so far ![]()
@Kara - would you please mark @Minthyuyu’s reply as “solution”, since the numerous similar replies are clearly showing that this isn’t a bug but rather intended to work this way. If other users have similar questions, they will be happy to get an answer faster ![]()
I don’t use them either, because of the lack of localization, even though it initially seemed like an interesting addition to the gameplay.
