  • Details (Providing reproduction steps helps us): I’ve launched for the first time after installing the new update and Cahaya DLC and upon entering CAZ I’m getting a weird bug when trying to use the new hairstyles. Specifically the braids and dreads. It seems other hairstyles are also affected by this. I’ve attached a photo showing what’s happening.

I’ve tried verifying the integrity of the game files numerous times and I have no mods installed. Unfortunately I’ve found no fix to this issue yet, hopefully something will come up soon as I’d like to experience everything the update & dlc has to offer.

After clearing my InZOI Documents folder the issue persists…

Hi @binky and @Yoshimou, thanks for the reports you shared. We’re currently reviewing them, but in the meantime, it’s possible the issue is related to the game files.

Could you please try running a Verify integrity of game files check on Steam?

You can find the instructions here:

Steam Support :: Verify Integrity of Game Files

@binky, we saw your comment mentioning that you’ve already run the verification. If the issue is still happening at this point, we’d recommend running the check again just to be sure.

Additionally, please note that mods can sometimes leave leftover files even after being disabled. We recommend checking the folders and fully removing any remaining mod files before trying again.

Hi, I just verified my game files again. I don’t have any mods, and mods disabled. Folder 88849 is empty. Still the same issue.

Have you also checked the blueclient folder?

Maybe it has something to do with this setting?

Looks like a physics thing, like physics is not being applied to the hairs in the way it should. I don’t think there is a hair physics option in settings, but LennyOgg may have a point about the outfit simulation setting, which does apply physics to clothing IIRC.

I have tried changing the slider.I have it on max now, no change. :woman_tipping_hand:

Then it’s probably mod related. Have you checked the blueclient folder and cleared the cache? And is this also happening in a new save?

Both are empty. I haven’t played with mods either.. Now I’ve been double checking everything to see if anything got in by accident but all those folders are completely empty. Thank you for the help though :pink_heart: Problem remains even in new save files..

The lower the ms value, the better the movement, by the way. Turning it up on the slider would make the physics simulation worse. Have you tried turning it down to 1 ms or turning off Outfit/Hair simulation completely?

If lowering the value to 1 ms and then restarting doesn’t fix it, I would try turning the simulation off and restarting. If that fixes it, try turning it back on at 1 ms, then restart to test if that causes the issue again or if the issue is gone.

Yes I have both turned it up and down, and also tried turning it off. I tried again now with restarting the game between the different options and no change. Sorry for the late reply. :pink_heart:

Really? That makes no logical sense - surely a higher value should indicate a higher animation quality? I will have to check this setting myself later, I haven’t touched it since release.

if ms stands millisecond, it makes sense because 1ms is faster movement than 5ms(?)

I have checked now, the lower value improves performance (by shortening animations I guess), whereas the higher value improves the animations.

I did test this when I first launched the game, and you can tell the difference between highest and lowest.

“lower values improve performance, while higher values result in smoother animations” - from the setting info.

Ah, I remembered researching this and reading that lower ms in physics animations meant better, smoother, more accurate, and more stable animation performance, and I vaguely recall someone saying this about Inzoi as well, but maybe I misunderstood what that meant exactly.

Thanks for sharing. Now that I know that, I’ll be testing it out in my game.

Tbh, I’m confused about this myself because everything I’ve read says that lower ms = better/more accurate physics… but now that I see the Inzoi settings info appears to say the opposite, and after what SmallArchangel said, I’m doubting. Maybe the ms value refers to something different here, or I may have just misunderstood.
