Out of Memory error when trying to load a game

Hello, did you try this ? Those information come by the inZOI’s discord :

1. “Insufficient video memory” error when launching the game
If you meet the system requirements but still see this error, it may be caused by accumulated data such as web cache, mods, or Canvas download files.

How to fix

  • Delete the folder: AppData/Local/inZoi/webcache_4430
:spiral_notepad: Tip: Before deleting, check the folder size—it may be useful to know.
  • If you’re using mods, temporarily disable all mods and try launching again.

2. Crash immediately after launch
Some of you have reported crashes right after starting the game. We’ve identified two possible solutions:

How to fix
- Option 1: Clear Shader Cache

  • If a PSO cache pop-up appears, please click ‘Yes’ to delete the cache. The game will automatically restart after the cache is cleared.
  • :warning: Note: This will delete shader cache for all games, not just inZOI. As a result, the next time you launch other games, they may take longer to load as the cache is rebuilt.
  • Option 2: Remove Mod Files Temporarily
  • Move all files from %username%/Documents/inZOI/Mods to another location (e.g., Desktop).
  • Then, relaunch inZOI with all mods fully disabled.

after tryin that above it didn’t work and my game is not playable i cant even change settings to my game to fix it because i cant get in it

Where do I find the folders that I need to delete because I can’t find them anywhere? Update I found the folder but now my game won’t load because it’s still saying I have a memory issue

I had the same problem and after clearing Steam cache, I went to options in game and turned down all graphics to medium instead of high and this has worked for me! I can’t even tell the graphics changed but no more pop-up error. Hope this helps

It won’t even let me turn down my graphics. The message pops up the moment I load the game.

Can I ask what type of mods you have? If these are curseforge clothing/hairs, simply delete them from your mods folder and redownload them and you should be fine! Heemon, for example, has updated their hairs again.

If the mods are from Nexus, there should be updates for them too.

I was having the same issue as you, and this is the only thing that worked. Oh! If you are playing on steam, validate the game files as well

Thats gonna take 100 years to redownload them. And I cleared my cache and it fixed and yes I have a lot of clothing mods and also some hair mods

I solved it by reducing the number of mods

Currently there is kind of a limit to how many mods the game can handle at once, and for me is around 20-30 at much, so that might be the problem. But if you don’t want to give them up, try locating your script mods first. I have seen several cases in which deleting and outdated scriptmod solved the problem.

You can go into the “mods” section inside your game, then go to “installed mods” and you can check which ones are outdated and even updated them from there without having to go to your mods folder. There is even an “update all mods” button. If after updating all of them you get an error message about specific mods, go back and uninstall them.

You can do all this from inside the game with a simple click. If you need further help, let me know.

As everyone said, when there is a patch, update for the moment, all mods need to be desactivated or removed and reactivated after. Mods are made by people, but the game as others evolve, so the compatibility after update can not be good after.
