[Bug] Inzoi suddenly force closes without error (ROG G15, RTX 3050)

Hello inZOI Team,

I’m experiencing a force close issue while playing inZOI. The game suddenly shuts down without showing any error message and goes straight back to the desktop.

Details:

  • Happens randomly (sometimes during gameplay, sometimes when idle in the menu).

  • No error message or crash log appears on screen.

  • I have already tried updating the GPU driver, running Windows Update, and verifying game files, but the issue still persists.

PC/Laptop Specs:

  • ASUS ROG G15

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with Radeon Graphics

  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3050

  • RAM: 16 GB

  • OS: Windows 11 64-bit

  • Storage: SSD

Hello, I also had this issue a while ago. In my case it was a temperature spike, I ended up buying a cooler for my laptop and it went away.

Could be worth using a temperature monitor while playing, even if not on a laptop. Mine was going above 100º C.

Can you also tell us if you use mods, and if yes, which ones? And if they are removed/disabled/active?

I am also having this problem. I do not use mods. I can play the game for quite a while sometimes until it just force closes back to my desktop. It is worse on my save files but if I start a new save I can play for a couple of hours before it crashes again, usually just before an autosave. I have a ryzen 7 5800x and a radeon rx6600 gpu and can play in ultra at my capped 60 fps with no temperature spikes. I monitor this with msi for both my cpu and gpu.

I think you can change the graphics to medium, because playing on ultra makes your laptop overheat, which causes inZOI not to run properly. And don’t forget to replace the thermal paste as well, since it helps prevent your laptop from overheating when playing heavy games.

Do you play until your laptop gets hot? If yes, that’s probably the cause, and you can try setting the graphics lower.

PC and my temps are 70 degree for cpu and 55 degree for gpu constantly. So it is definitely not my PC overheating. this is whilst playing Inzoi.

This has started happening to me too, it never crashed before. I don’t think it is overheating on my PC, because sometimes the crash is almost immediate, before any overheating can have had time to occur. At other times it does not crash at all.

It happens so randomly, once in Build Studio, a couple of times while playing, but mostly while the game is paused and idle, once or twice even from the lobby menu.

Edit: forgot to say that I use 2 or 3 mods, all cosmetic only, none outdated. A hair mod from in-game mod section, and a censor-blur and towel remover.

Hi there! Is this happening only after the September 11th update or was it happening before? If it has only been happening since hotfix v0.3.6 Hotfix please come also to this post to say so, so we can have all of it together.
