Since 0.4.0, the 7.5x7.5 floor tiles keep losing their "resizing"

      :round_pushpin:Pre-020 smalltalk fix (Local version)

    • Hardware Specifications & Operating System (OS version, CPU, GPU, RAM, storage…):
      Windows 10 Professional / 22H2 / 19045.6216
      13th Gen Intel(R) Core i9-13900KF 3.00 GHz
      NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti
192 Gb Ram, 4TB NVmE with 2.2tb left.

    • Steps to Reproduce:
I guess set up a couple of 7.5x7.5m floor tiles and adjust the size with the arrows (shrink it).
Save the game and reload. I’m also switching between families a lot, in case that is a factor.

This is the way it is supposed to look (I shrunk the larger gravel tiles using the in-game arrows)

This is the way it looks each time I quit the game and reload. It’s as if the 7.5x7.5 gravel floor tiles lose their adjusted size !

It takes 2-3minutes each gaming session to “resize” those three 7.5x7.5 gravel floor tiles, but I would rather have them be fixed so they keep their re-size instead of constantly having to resize them myself.

Thank you !

Same problem here

Yeah same here. Both tiles and the ALT key aren’t working right for me. Cannot use ALT to overlap most objects anymore. Workaround for me was using the granite or wood floor blocks in the outdoor furniture. You cannot resize them but they have good sizes to use to cover a room floor etc. And you can texture them. Far much easier than the floor tile select tool. That allows you to paint a section of floor but its not well coded either. No multi select or reselect without going thru selecting one at a time again, and some furniture gets in the way of selecting. I hope they manage to work out some of these glitches in the next patch

Hi everyone (@here), appreciate the heads-up! We’ve looked into it and added the issue to the known issues notice. We’ll keep you posted when there’s any progress.

  • After changing the size of floor tiles, the size may reset to default when loading a save file.
  • Floor tiles placed using Free Placement may not overlap properly.

Yes this just doesn’t happen to floor tiles but all in-game objects that are resized. Once you reload the savefile they revert back.

  1. The outdoor floor tiles seem not be able to keep any adjustment made and return to their original size and shape after you save and reload the game.

Hi everyone(@here),

An issue has been fixed where the floor tile size would reset to the default value when loading a save file after adjusting it.

v0.4.4 Hotfix Details

We’d also like to clarify a previous comment. :psycat_sad:
After checking again, we’ve confirmed that overlapping floor tiles with Free Placement has not been possible.

This means the current behavior is working as intended.
