Mods canvas and download

I don’t know if this belongs here, but I’ll write it anyway. It’s about Canvas. The issue is that you already see things like “do not use and upload” on the mods page, etc. Yes, I know a lot of work goes into each mod and the Canvas uploads. But honestly, if I’m not allowed to use the uploaded mods in my house or on my zoi, and I upload them to my Canvas page, then maybe the creator of the mod/creation should be happy that it’s been downloaded and used. A little tip for those who still haven’t noticed: Canvas displays and lists the mods you’ve used. This means the creator of the mod is shown. For Canvas creations, it should finally be established that the names can’t be deleted. Perhaps @kijun could comment on this directly. Yes, the rights should remain with the creators, and this should be clearly indicated. But can we please remain peaceful when something is used in the house and uploaded to canvas?

If any modder has a prohibition to upload items with their mods on Canvas, I think their TOS are either outdated or just do not make sense.

When somebody uses a mod or cc and uploads it with their zoi or house to Canvas, their download counts towards the modder curseforge page and it’s great to publicize a certain mod. I say this as a modder myself, do not worry about this, and feel free to use mods and cc when you upload to Canvas. At all times, the rights belong to the modder, and any download counts towards their curseforge page.

Of course, it’s different if you upload another creator’s cc and claim it as your own, but that’s not what you are talking about here.

The problem is that you’re almost afraid to upload anything you’ve just built to Canvas anymore, because you’ve used a mod or included something from Canvas. Because then you get messages saying you’re using my mod or texture, etc. I hope you understand what I mean.
