Update: I uninstalled abd reinstalled the game and downloaded the most recent update. The game seems to work okay for now. I’ll check in again later and let y’all know if it fixed itself.
I tried everything at this point. From removing mods, to following instructions on what to do if a crash occurs, to updating my computer, removing mods file, connecting to steam, verify game files, disabling/enabling hardware acceleration, etc. Nothing works and idk what to do anymore because I tried every possible thing. The only thing left is just to wait til the update and hope it works.

I thought it was my mods at first, so I removed everything. The crash happens no matter what I do.

This looks a lot like an issue with the graphics settings. Would you kindly provide an dxdiag in the next reply? Here’s how to do that: How to Send User Files to The inZOI Team (Updated)
It’d also help if you could show screenshots of your game settings. Have you tried changing the settings manually by yourself so far?

I tried but it didnt do anything. I’m currently installing a new NVIDIA driver to see if it works. If not, I’ll follow that link. Thank you!

In case you haven’t heard of the official NVIDIA app for Windows, you can safely download it here: Download NVIDIA App
This app helps with tracking all games installed on your device and can also, if you want to, optimize many games (including inZOI) for your specific setup. I’ve been using it for many years and it makes gaming way easier.

Since March I have played with 3 diff laptops, each increasing in GPU/refresh rate power, and despite that - my home screen glitches like this oaccasionally on all 3 machines. Not sure if it is graphics, but I would not rule that out due to nature of issue. But also on all 3 machines, my graphics settings are not maxed out either so who knows.
I have not noticed a rhyme or reason, but I can say it is rare (if ever) to see a glitchy home screen once I first launch or returning from Canvas. BUT when it happens, it is always after leaving a game or CAZ.
And despite playing since March, I really only remember having a glitchy home screen since the Halloween update now that I think of it. Mine crashes after choosing “Go to Lobby” from a saved game. Glitchy screen loads, then - poof!

This glitch is so weird. A lot of players get it so many times but I haven’t seen anything like it either on my gaming laptop or the gaming laptop I used for other testing (owned by my sister).

.. all the app does is to automatically puts your graphic settings according to your hardware
aka the very thing you can do yourself via the ingame settings
i always disable the feature so nvidia doesn’t force me to play on a lower graphic setting when i can very much play on the highest graphic settings without sacrificing too much fps

Yes, you can do all of the settings manually but for some players this is quite tricky. For them the app can be very helpful =)
