Local storage lost after reinstalling the system

  • Details:After reinstalling the system, the local storage was lost, and many of the character information and saved content I created were gone. Is there any way to retrieve them?

If you had saved some on Canvas you can get those back by subbing to them .
If you did not put content on Canvas, then no.
I supposed you didnt have any backups either or you wouldn’t ask.

I forgot to back up and can’t find it now. Remember to make backups or upload Canvas as soon as possible to prepare for unexpected situations.

Because inZOI’s save files are stored in the C drive by default, and it’s also the C drive that gets formatted during a system reinstall, we usually change the default storage location.

Doing this prevents the loss of unsaved data and also alleviates storage pressure on the C drive.

There are many tutorials online about how to transfer them; it’s definitely worth having :wink:

Aren’t the save files in a cloud? One drive or steam?

Mine were until I changed it.
