I am a person, I eat when I get hungry at different times, I go to bed when I get sleepy at different times,
sometimes I eat breakfast and/or lunch, sometimes I wait till diner to eat,
I go to bed at 5am sometimes, 12am sometimes, 8am sometimes,
all zois eat and sleep at the same time every day, what about my zoi, can’t I make him act like me?
After all of your time of posting and typing and hoping you could get your zois to stop eating

We’ve reviewed this report and the behavior is part of the morning routine system — certain actions are scheduled to occur at specific times, which is why the Zoi performed the action even though the need was already full.
That said, we understand that it may feel a bit unnatural, and we plan to improve this behavior in the future.
Since this is not a bug, I’ll go ahead and close this thread for now.

We do have confirmation it’s part of “The morning routine”
I vote to remove that routine or make those optional in the game menus.
Not only it cause certain behaviors to be interpreted as bugs by players (with good reasons), but it just destroys any possibility of having Zois on different internal clocks.
I’m tired of fighting with my zois every day. VERY tired.
I’m very close to installing version 0.1 to play another serious game on it.
Everything felt so much more natural (well 0.1 had issues with relationship of every zoi being bad, but even with that). Kid zois would automatically join their parents when those used the washing machine, most zoi would automatically pick calories intensive meals matching how hungry they were, the age groups were much better (That was supposed to be fixed in December, now it’s “Q1 2026” if it’s not pushed away again). And of course you could go to sleep at any time and wake up refreshed roughly 6-7 hours later and would auto-wake after 8 hours. Same after eating, a good meal would keep you fed for a long while !
No fighting zois to stay awake, not artificial routine to make them hungry / eat at specific times, no fighting your zoi to sleep late after 8am or go to sleep early (like at 8pm because you wake them at 4am to make food for the family for when they wake-up).
Those routines are making the game FAR more annoying to me.
Glad to know this is not just a “ME” problem.
Make waves, make posts on wishlist, let the devs merge them all they want.
Support the thread about it on top of it.
