One of the biggest features many players from the life-simulation community have asked for for years is multi-functional lots, and I would love to see inZOI become the game that finally makes this possible. Lots that can support multiple functions at once would dramatically improve realism, world-building freedom, and how cities feel overall. I know this is an ambitious request, but it would be absolutely huge for the game.
Multi-Functional Lots: Instead of a lot being locked into a single use, it would be amazing if one lot could support multiple functions at the same time. For example, a single building could include a boutique, a café, and a restaurant, or a furniture store paired with a gallery or studio space. This would allow players to create vibrant, layered locations rather than isolated, single-purpose buildings.
Mixed-Use Buildings (Retail + Residential): I would especially love to see mixed-use buildings where retail spaces exist on the ground floor and apartments are located above them. This is extremely common in real cities and would add so much realism. Zois could live above cafés, shops, or restaurants, creating natural routines like going downstairs for coffee or interacting with customers and neighbors daily.
Flexible Store & Venue Combinations: Multi-functional lots could allow combinations such as coffee shop + bookstore, boutique + café, restaurant + bar, or retail + office space. This flexibility would let neighborhoods develop unique identities and make exploration more exciting and organic.
Gameplay & Social Benefits: These lots would naturally become social hubs where friendships form more easily, routines overlap, and chance encounters happen. They would also support many of the systems players want, such as nightlife, shopping, working, living, and socializing all happening in one shared space rather than being separated across the map.
Why This MatterMulti-functional lots are something the life-sim community has wanted for a long time but never truly received. Implementing them in inZOI would be a major differentiator and a defining feature of the game. It would make cities feel dense, realistic, and alive, and give players unprecedented creative control over how neighborhoods function and evolve
