Thank you for reporting this.

Are you currently using any mods? If so, please disable them and then try to start again.

I did have mods. I couldn’t even get to a point of deleting them. I just uninstalled and am reinstalling inzoi again. Thank you for the feedback.

If you will have a problem with mods again, you can find them in Documents\inZOI\Mods and delete them manually

thank you for that.

@HeinziDerHeld @treeofowl could saving the game to my External Drive instead of the C Drive have anything to do with crashing? I’ve checked my drive for errors and I’ve also reinstalled the game on steam. Still crashing seconds after lobby screen loads.

It depends. I assume you’re pluging it into at least a USB 3.0, right? It should be fast enough to perform well. It is known to cause some issues with other games though.

If it’s possible, could you move it to your local hard drive and check whether this stops the crashes?

I’ve moved it to C Drive. Still Crashing

I’m no expert but when thinking of ‘moving’, the data and folders might get moved but not the linked paths?
So maybe a reinstall is better so everything is connected properly?

I initially reinstalled. Lmao I am having withdrawals lol!

Ok. Update. I updated my nvidia drivers. Went back to the previous update 12/2025. No crashes as of now. Going to try and update again.

Don’t worry. Freaking out once or twice per week is quite common here =D

Ok. lol The New Update is a no go for me until more updates I will continue to play the 12/2025 version.

You can also play the v0.5.4 version from January 26. It should have more bug fixes but doesn’t include whatever issue caused the crashes in later fixes or updates :slightly_smiling_face:

Is there a tutorial anywhere how to go back to an older version?

If you open the Steam settings for inZOI, you’ll see this pop-up screen:

Apparently, there’s one older version of the game currently available. Maybe this would help with a lot of the recent crashes  I’m not sure how this affects CC and Mod usage though.

Ah awesome! We should keep that in mind.
Thank you :psycat_paw:
