There is a new service notice, maybe this helps you too:

◆ The game keeps crashing immediately after launch. What should I do?

  • We’ve been receiving some reports about the game crashing right after starting up, and we’re very sorry for the inconvenience. In many cases this issue can be resolved by clearing your existing cache. Please try the following steps :
  1. Exit the game completely

  2. Find the following folders and delete all removable files.
(If some files can’t be deleted, simply skip them.)

[AMD]
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\AMD\DxCache
    C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\AMD\DxCache
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\D3DSCache
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\AMD\DxcCache

[NVidia]
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\DXCache
    C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\NVIDIA\PerDriverVersion\DXCache
    C:\Users\username\AppDta\LocalLow\NVIDIA\DXCache
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\D3DSCache

[Intel]
    C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Intel\ShaderCache
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\D3DSCache

(Replace “username” with your own Windows account name.)

:warning: Please note: This will clear the shader cache for all your games, not just inZOI. The first time you launch any game afterward, it may take longer to load as the cache rebuilds.
If the issue persists, please share details of your experience on the newly opened inZOI Forum or contact us directly through our Support Page so we can assist you further.

We hope this helps clear things up, and we truly appreciate your patience and continued support.

Thank you,
The inZOI Team

Hello, you didn’t answer to the form, so it’s difficult to help. Did you try what @LennyOgg’s said ?
Have a nice day

The solution has been found.

You have to verify this folders too and remove the mods also :

  • BlueClient/Content/Paks/~mods

  • Documents/inZOI/Saved/Mods

If either folder exists, please share all remaining mod files with us by sending a Drive link.

The mods enter in conflict since the updates unfortunately, so we have to remove them for the moment.

Hi

My game crashes so often regardless of the save file or what the zoi are doing, i once was able to replicate a crash by gardening but usually its totally random. I had it crash 2 times today alone, maybe i can get through an hour without a crash but most times it happens several times in one sitting of play; sometimes even crashing 10mins after the last crash but its very random.

Honestly i stopped playing for months because of this but im trying again and in the last month its been difficult.

I have never used mods or smart zoi and i have verified my files on steam and checked that everything is up to date.

Thank you for reading about my issue and i can give any further details you might need but i am not very technical so please specify clearly if you need anything further or if i can change any settings/files.

Hey there, thanks for reporting this issue =)

Would you please check out this thread where various crash and launch issues have been discussed lately? InZOI Won’t Launch After Hotfix v0.7.2 → please check if any of the solutions mentioned by other users in there solved the issue for you :folded_hands:

Hi Heinz

I think my problem may be a bit different, i can load the game and it begins to play just fine but then it will randomly without warning crash to my desktop. I havent been able to find a reason or pattern to this as it crashes anywhere from 10 mins into play or 1hour, sometimes not at all if im lucky but i dont think ive ever been able to play longer than an hour without a crash.

I save often and delete old saves and auto saves, never use smart zoi or mods and have been having this issue since i installed it on the first day of release a year ago. It got so bad that i could not play. When i came back a few months later it plays but still does these crashes, very annoying. I dont think its worse since the hotfix but like i said, its always been an issue so i dont know.

I have checked my specs against the recommended so i dont think its my pc but im not sure why mine is like this. I know there are issues with crashes and its still in beta so i was shocked when a youtuber said she had her first crash ever recently! which is why i decided to find out if theres anything more i can do.

Please let me know if theres anything you need from my game.

Thank you!

Hey there, thank you for the fast reply :folded_hands: That sounds very strange, especially because you have a setup very similar to mine and I haven’t encountered any issues like that

Which programs are running while you usually play inZOI? Please doublecheck and let us know. Maybe they’re using too much of your RAM. That’s the only explanation that comes to my mind atm.

Hey everyone, I could use some help with my InZoi graphics settings.
After the April update, a bunch of new graphics options were added and I changed a few of them. Since then I’ve been getting FPS drops, lag, and the overall visual quality looks worse than before.

I’m playing on an RTX 4070 Acer Nitro laptop with 32GB RAM, and before the update the game ran perfectly.

If anyone knows the best settings for the new update or how to fix this, I’d really appreciate it.
If you also have an RTX 4070 laptop, it would really help if you could share screenshots of your graphics settings.

Maybe try to turn off Realistic Shadow if yours is ON? This fixed my crashing.

Hi @HeinziDerHeld

Apologies for the late reply; I usually only run steam but not always, its been mostly recently and i haven’t noticed any differences in stability either way.

Honestly i wish i had bought more RAM back when it was cheaper but i probably should increase it anyway, how much is recommended? When i first built the PC a year ago it was giving me some issues but after a few updates and BIOS reboots the RAM has been fine but maybe i should increase it (I have 2x16GB atm)

After starting up the game today and deleting a buggy toddler bath, the game seems great and smooth, the GPU is only at 53% and the latency is very low and FPS holds at 59/60 but i haven’t tested it out over a long time yet. I will play hopefully later and let you know how it goes, the updates seem to have made the game run smoother from what i saw briefly.

Thanks again for your help!

Hi, Twee. Can you tell me if your game crashes when you use an interaction marked with a star?

Actually, your setup should be fine. I have 32GB RAM and it works perfectly. 16GB RAM are recommended, so you should have more than enough.
Please take a look at my recently revised guide for the new settings here: inZOI – Graphics & Performance Guide (revised after update v0.8.2) → It shows exactly which settings increase stability in general. Hope this helps

Hi @strykewt

I’ve been able to play for about a half hour without a crash but then it just shut everything down(freeze first then crash) it wasn’t affected by the interactions with a star at all.

I’ve been reading a bit more about your case, and it seems odd. It doesn’t appear to be a problem with your computer; with those specs, you should be able to run the game without any issues. I need you to send me (or share the contents of) the “CrashContext.runtime-xml” file located in the folders at “AppData\Local\BlueClient\Saved\Crashes”. Each folder you find in that path represents a crash of your game, and any of them should work. Send me the “CrashContext.runtime-xml” from the most recent folder, and I’ll see if I can find the error.

Hello inZOI Support,

I’m reporting a recurring crash that appears to be related to memory usage.

What happens
The game crashes during play after a longer session. Based on the crash files, the crash type appears to be OutOfMemory.

Crash details from report

  • CrashType: OutOfMemory

  • Error message: “Ran out of memory allocating 65536 bytes”

  • Last error message: “The paging file is too small for this operation to complete.”

  • bIsOOM=1

System

  • OS: Windows 11

  • CPU: Intel Core i9-13900KF

  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090

  • RAM: 32 GB

What I noticed

  • The crash happened after roughly 2+ hours of play

  • The crash context shows the game was in:
    /Game/Map/LobbyLevel2_OneYear

This makes me suspect either:

  • unusually high memory usage over time, or

  • a memory leak / memory optimization issue during longer sessions

What I already tried

  • Updated Windows virtual memory / paging file settings

  • Restarted the PC

  • Closed other background applications

  • Continued testing with only Steam and inZOI running

Even after adjusting the paging file settings, I am still experiencing crashes.

If needed, I can provide the crash files I pulled from:
C:\Users\Muir3\AppData\Local\BlueClient\Saved\Crashes

Please let me know if you want the full crash bundle, logs, or any additional system information.

Thank you.

Hi @strykewt

Sorry for the super late reply, im really glad i saw this post. My game is still crashing randomly. Some saves seem to crash every 10 mins and others can be played for up to 1hr if im lucky.

Id be happy to share the crash report but ive searched everywhere and it just doesnt come up, even in the searchbar its not coming up. I found a folder for appdata but its totally empty

Is there something im missing?

Thanks! Twee

If smartzoi is open close it. And uninstall and reinstall your driver completely including its caches.

Hi

Do you mean uninstall the game? which driver do you mean? I never use smartzoi.
