• UPDATE Status : If you’re experiencing this issue, you can try the solution I posted below the screenshot—it worked for me. However, there are still other causes and situations related to this bug, so let’s keep discussing them and share different solutions that might help everyone.

FIXED - Here’s how to fix the error:

• FIXED 1 :

Here’s a summary of the fix that worked for me:

1. Uninstall inZOI (or Steam if necessary).
2. Delete the old Steam Library folder completely. Simply uninstalling Steam is not enough, as the library folder and its files may still remain.
3. Create a new Steam Library folder in Steam → Settings → Storage, preferably on a different drive.
4. Reinstall inZOI into the new library folder.

This fixed the issue for me. Hopefully it helps anyone else experiencing the same problem.

Basically, you just need to completely delete the old steamapps folder and reinstall everything in a fresh Steam Library. You can also create a new library on another drive through Steam → Settings → Storage. As long as none of the old Steam folders remain, it should work.

I followed up with the support team by email, and one of their representatives suggested that I do a complete reinstallation of Steam. I gave it a try, and it completely fixed the issue!

Important: You need to fully uninstall Steam first—don’t just click “Reinstall.” After uninstalling, go to the official Steam website, download the latest installer, and install Steam again.

Once Steam is installed, log in to your account and reinstall inZOI. After doing that, the Steam Authentication Failed error was completely gone for me.

Hopefully this helps anyone who’s still experiencing the same issue

Create a New Folder: Create a completely new folder anywhere except your C: Drive (for example: G:\SteamTest).

1. Download the Installer: Download the official SteamSetup.exe from the Steam website.
2. Install to the New Folder: Run the installer, but when it asks for the installation path, change it to your new folder (G:\SteamTest).
3. Create a Portable Shortcut:

   • Once installed, go into G:\SteamTest.

   • Right-click steam.exe> Show more options > Create shortcut.

   • Right-click the new shortcut > Properties.

   • In the Target box, add a space and -portable to the very end of the line. It should look like this:

     "G:\SteamTest\steam.exe" -portable

   • Click Apply and OK.

Please check if your Steam ID and Krafton ID are correctly linked. See

Also the following:

Steam > Settings > Downloads > Clear Download cache.

Exit Steam.

Restart your system (not shutdown, but Restart). Then start steam. You may have to Log In to Steam again.

Then verify Inzoi game files . Then try starting Inzoi again.

and my drivers are updated, and I reinstalled the game. Please fix this

We’ll probably have to wait for a hotfix. In the meantime, you can roll back to the March 26 version to keep playing while waiting for the developers to fix it. It would also help to post feedback on the inZOI forums so the devs can see the issue more easily. I am also having this issue

• Steps to Reproduce: when launching game, failed to authenticate and crashes. Followed all steps on guide. Did not fix post hot fix either

Could be something to do with the game trying to connect to the Steam servers for verification. You could try logging in and out of Steam. Worst case scenario, uninstall steam and reinstall it.
