Reloading to a previous build works just fine, just seems to be something on their end they will have to work on for the current build.

I managed to replicate this on Linux using GE-Proton to try and get FSR 4.1 enabled. I had to switch to Proton Experimental for it to work again. This is meaningless to you since you’re on Windows, but I bring it up because the Linux problem probably had something to do with the drivers conflicting with the Proton compatibility layer.

To rule everything out, I’d clean and uninstall the NVIDIA drivers using DDU and reinstall the latest driver again.

I still think it has something to do with Steam though.

Here’s what the Inzoi support team emailed me today regarding this issues:

"Dear Creator,

Thank you for contacting inZOI Support.

Regarding your first concern, please note that the game must now be launched via Steam. Launching the game directly from the .exe file is no longer supported. We recommend accessing the game through your Steam Library or creating a new desktop shortcut directly from Steam for your convenience.

With regard to the second issue, where the game remains running in the background after selecting “Save and Quit,” we understand how this may affect your experience. Although the game window appears to close, the process may still be active, which can prevent the game from being launched again. As a temporary workaround, please open Task Manager and ensure that the game process has fully closed before attempting to relaunch the game. Restarting Steam may also help resolve this issue. To minimize any potential risk to your save files, we kindly recommend allowing a few seconds after saving and quitting to ensure that the process has completed before taking any further action.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Please rest assured that your feedback has been noted and will be shared with the relevant team for further investigation.

I have this same issue. At the beginning, the game would lag. Then, the timer and the needs bar would dissapear or freeze. Now, I cannot open the game anymore. This is really frustrating. :confounded_face:

If you are on linux, you can use Proton 11 Beta or Proton Experimental to fix that issue. Hopefully this helps someone.

  • Steps to Reproduce: Launch the game from Steam and get the “Steam Authentication failed” error. All other Steam games work except Inzoi.
