A very weird and terrible bug, it seems =( Sorry, it didn’t work for you. Maybe V-Sync on or off makes a difference in some cases, but for us on worked. Unfortunately, a few games have very similar issues lately, so I’m afraid it’s not inZOI related. Maybe that’s why it’s taking so long for devs to figure it out ![]()
that didn’t work either
tried 60 max and 90 max
sync disabled (I always disable it anyway)
no problem with Oblivion
hello
still no update? can we have any update? is the issue still being investigated??
we will soon have the next update and nothing is clear we are in the dark 100%?
it’s beyond frustrating now.. seriously .. anything???
I’m sorry but this is a lot…
Since this issue might not simply be inZOI related, I assume the investigation to find a proper solution is taking longer, unfortunately. It is still being investigated until the highlighted “under investigation” hashtag disappears. I really hope there’s a fix for this damn bug soon =(
Hello, I’m having the same problems starting the game. I used to be able to play inZoi with all settings on Ultra, but after the patch, the game only starts if I unplug the power cable. ASUS ROG Strix G18 G814FP Laptop | 18" 2,5K 240Hz/3ms 16:10 IPS Display | AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX | 32GB RAM | 1TB SSD | NVIDIA RTX 5070 | Win11 Home | QWERTZ |
I feel you, I have been switching back and forth between inZOI and my other games now to try and keep my mind off of it; I understand it’s difficult for the team to fix though. It just sucks for all of us now ![]()
You and I both have the ASUS ROG Strix 18 and I do the same thing to get in, unplug.
Hello everyone (@here),
We are sorry for the inconvenience.
We have included the crash issue to our Known Issue list.
We are doing our best to solve the issue, and we apologize for the delay.
Hello everyone, (@AR_Luna )
I’m sharing this message just to avoid any misunderstanding.
I fully understand that the game is still under development. I purchased it (twice, on two different steam accounts) knowing it is not a finished product and I genuinely don’t mind bugs, performance issues, or ongoing changes. I support, truly enjoy and love the game to the point I got the high end PC only for the game.
What is frustrating for me is the lack of communication regarding our specific issue. Not knowing whether it is actively being worked on or having no updates at all and makes it feel like we are left in the dark.
I completely understand that this might be a complex issue that takes time to resolve, its understandable.. I’m not asking for technical details it’s not my expertise and I’m not entitled for any details regarding the issue. all I’m asking for just a small updates here and there or confirmation that the issue is being worked on would be highly appreciated (Especially when it’s a major one and it is taking longer time)
If it wasn’t for ( @coya_nade ) finding the temporary solution it would have been a month+ without us being able to play at all while also not knowing what is happening…
With the upcoming updates I do find myself a little worried about whether the issue might get worse? or what if it never been solved? or is it really being seriously looked at? Most of the updates focus on new features and content which is absolutely great, but it would be really reassuring to know this issue is also being worked on too..
This might just be my personal concern and I’m not sure if other players (with the issue) feel the same way. So now I just wanted to express my thoughts clearly and avoid any misunderstanding~~ but I do promise I won’t continue sharing anymore in here to avoid any further misunderstanding or bothering. I will make sure to just check the post from time to time to see if the issue has been resolved or not yet.
Thank you for your hard work and I wish you all the best in resolving our issue, we would be more than happy to provide information if needed, and I can’t wait for the issue to be solved and to have our old game back~~
Good luck, take care and regards~~
In the nvidia app, I forced the full-screen mode for Inzoi, and the game started after compiling the shaders
what steps were taken to force full screen mode? i keep mine optimized bc my laptop tends to run a bit hot whenever the game used to run properly pre-crash days
I fully understand how you feel and wish we had more information about this upcoming update that seems to have been either delayed or just reduced in it’s size according to yesterday’s Discord post.
I really hope we can play again properly soon because almost a month ago, others in the Discord chat were dismissing my concerns over this as something that would be fixed soon/fix is probably on the way or even just rudely saying they’re ‘ignoring’ my comments on it. TBH the energy here is more welcoming and empathetic than there where things I say get brushed off. I’d rather continue voicing my concerns here than there as we obviously are the ones impacted by this and take it more seriously than others.
Nonetheless, I really hope we can get another follow-up soon
As I’ve mentioned countless times before, these workarounds aren’t ideal as they reduce the gameplay quality (even unplugging my game at launch keeps resetting my graphics to the battery optimized settings and I have to keep restarting the game until it gets to a somewhat decent setting). I know the team is working hard and truly appreciate their efforts as well. If we at least knew when the engine update was coming so we can know when to maybe expect our games to run normally again, that’d be great.
imma try this later, thanks!
Thank you for adding this as possible solution for hopefully most players who are experiencing this terrible bug ![]()
What I’ve come across with another game (in my case: Pragmata), launching it via Steam and then quickly opening another window (e.g. browser) to have it boot up in the background actually made it launch without issues. Just in case anybody hadn’t tried this before. Hope it helps ![]()
Hello Everyone
Hope you are doing well!
I shared my issue on tumblr and a sweet friend helped a lot, she searched the issue and possible solution and she found one that helped me a lot!
I tested it out and it worked! but the thing is GPU can’t be turned on yet, if it’s on the game still will crash with the first second as before, but her solution worth it and it saved me xD I thought after testing it out I would share it and I hope it will help you guy enjoy the game as before too.
I see the post is labeled now as “known issue” so i hope we soon get the solution. But here is what I did with the help of my dear friend ^^
Step one: go to your graphic setting

Step two: go to custom setting for appellations and add InZoi as an app there, then you can set the GPU performance as NVIDIA not windows
Step Three: Don’t turn GPU (ON) from the advanced option it won’t work lol
Here is a before and after photo xD
Before, with our issue as you can see there isn’t any details ![]()
After, the solution above you can see it really worked and the details are pretty much back thanks to my dear friend I almost lost hope T_T
I hope it will work for you guys and I wish the team all the luck on their work
Unfortunately. . . discord is pretty much like that in every discord gaming chat versus a games forum. The dynamic’s are just different with the way people talk to each other. Plus most everyone in the discord weren’t having an issue with their game and they just wanted to post about what they were doing in their game, not hear about what was broken, because it didn’t effect their game play.
Just pitching in here,
not sure if you’ve been able to play or not but i’ve seen a few people have ASUS ROG Strix XX which is what I have or similar to that. My solution came from this thread and thought I’d share that if you unplug and change your gaming mode from performance (or turbo) to silent you should be able to play (there should be a fan looking button on your keyboard, or you can use the armory crate). Once you’re in-game you can switch back to performance or turbo and play. I’ve only been able to open the game and hold the main menu and haven’t proceeded to play yet but so far so good.
Hope this helps my fellow ROG laptop users!
(New to using forums and discussion groups so forgive me if I didn’t try hard enough to remedy your situation or this doesn’t reach the proper audience.
welcome to the forum! and you’re fine, we appreciate any workarounds here so don’t feel bad. thank you for this; this is one of the workarounds we have used and it definitely does work.
my only issue with these workarounds is the drop in graphics but still glad to be able to enjoy the game ![]()
Unplugging is the method I have been using to play. ![]()
