@NyushaDm Thank you so much - I really appreciate your support ![]()
The problem with this one is that I was credited but that it was re-uploaded without my consent (in my post I mentioned to not re-upload) but this creator did anyways. It’s the re-upload that I want to cancel most of all
There have been times when I’ve accidentally used downloaded items when uploading a zoi to canvas. I mostly use base game items, but the labels on items are messed up. For example, there are items in my clothing list that are credited as being my creations, but they’re not. I added a texture and uploaded them as part of an outfit, but I didn’t create them. I can’t change this, and I don’t like it, I don’t deserve any credit for adding a texture.
When I do use a downloaded item or mod I will credit the creator if I know who they are, if not I will say that I downloaded the hair/top/whatever and not claim it as my own. I wish that this information would come over on its own.
Yes, that would be awesome
@VIBES The download description mentioned that it was “Drawn from VIBES’ beautiful design.” I wrote a comment about it and deleted my previous comment, since I didn’t know it was your work. I don’t know if it was done maliciously or out of ignorance. A protection feature should definitely be built in, or a button should be added during upload to prevent this.
@Taibak Thank you very much - I really appreciate that. I’m just trying to prevent the promoting of this re-uploading as I think it’s going to get out of hand if the developers don’t do anything about it. As I’ve mentioned before, I was credited but it’s the re-uploading that I want to cancel. I did write in my post not to re-upload but the creator went ahead anyways which in my opinion, is totally unacceptable. Thank you again for your support ![]()

It is terrible that people are stealing creations. As someone whose only creation of note so far is a derivative of someone else’s creation (my Zoi clothing preset creations use someone else’s facial preset), I would genuinely like to see the download of a derivative contribute to the download count of the source creation.
Me too ..!!
Please don’t forget to vote at the top of this thread if you agree that inZOI should implement a creator controlled feature to protect creations from being re-uploaded ![]()
@VIBES I think we need to keep this topic active daily so it stays visible. Not all players visit the forum every day. Many players have left both the forum and the game due to disagreement with Canvas’s policy.
@NyushaDm I agree with you. I will try my best
Thank you for your support - I will appreciate all the help I can get to make this super visible to the developers
I agree with you.
Dear all,
Those who agree should also upvote the first post using the topic reactions.
If at all the Devs use an AI tool to count support on this topic, the AI tool might not have the ability to count votes from a poll. So upvote the first post in this thread with a topic reaction as well.
Yes, please - thank you so much for mentioning that @DivineManifest
I checked today and after 5 days, the creator still hasn’t deleted the creation and did not reply to me or anyone regarding the re-uploading. This must surely mean that it was done on purpose and she had all intention of doing it and that it was not a mistake. This is unacceptable.
Please vote on this thread if you agree that inZOI should implement a creator controlled feature that prevents re-uploading of original work ![]()
Here’s another similar topic about work theft in Canvas!
I’d really love to do that for my characters and my outfits too![]()
@Ace-T I’m hoping inZOI devs can implement this for every creation - we should be able to choose if we want our creations to be re-uploadable. I think we will all benefit from this.
You probably already did it, but make sure you set all of your textures to private by changing the setting in-game.
I know it’s not for Zois or Houses, but it’s at least a beginning.
I will do that - thank you.
So even after reporting the unauthorized re-uploading of one of my creations - it still up on Canvas … but reading the Canvas content agreement/Canvas Guideline - it clearly states:
“What’s Not Allowed: Using someone else’s work without credit or authorization (including re-uploading)” and even says “Obtain necessary permissions before using someone else’s content”

I was not asked if it could be shared and I did not give authorization (in my description) - - - InZOI developers need to please have a look at this again - our creations should not be re-uploaded
