Should inZOI implement a creator controlled feature in Canvas to protect creations from being re-uploaded?

@Samuriko Thank you :psycat_paw:

This is how it should be. I truly hope we get this feature at some point. It take a lot of ours and effort to create these from scratch, be it zoi presets, outfit presets or builds.

Where is my credit, can I see it, does it add to my downloads and likes?

I really hope the developers remain committed to continuously improving processes and policies to ensure that every creator’s experience on Canvas is enjoyable, respectful, and positive :custom_butterfly:

Downloaded content should not be reuploadable, and that is a hill I will die on. For builds, exteriors are the hardest part. As a builder, that’s the part I struggle the most with and honestly what makes or breaks a good building and what “sells” the building upfront. For CAZ I understand this system even less, because how can you upload a zoi just by slightly pinching one slider from a zoi you downloaded? It makes zero sense.

I had to change all my descriptions to this - it doesn’t make me feel very nice and makes me look like a bit of a d### to be honest :broken_heart::sob:

Totally agree with you - thank you.

It happened to me too. Shortly after I uploaded a building, someone else uploaded the exact same one. I’d spent nearly a week working on it every day and love sharing my creations to the community, but when someone passes off my work as their own and changes just one window as an example, it’s really upsetting.

@Taibak I’m so sorry you also experienced that. Please check on Canvas - I left a reply to you.

It’s really frustrating and demotivating to have to police our creations and I really hope the developers hear us.

You guys convinced me… might as well push that in.

I thought it over on my side and what changed my mind is that as the game becomes more and more popular, we’ll get more and more ppl disrespecting creators wishes and abusing the system. So yeah, lock it tight.

If a house was downloaded from canvas, cannot be reuploaded
The house clearly keeps the Author as I mentioned earlier, so it should be easy to do.

@Samuriko Very happy to hear you had a change of heart - Thank you :psycat_paw:

@VIBES I hope you know that you can report a user and describe specific violations. If other users do the same, maybe the developers will pay attention to this issue. I suggest mass reporting the unscrupulous plagiarist.

@NyushaDm Thank you - yes, I did report it and I also left a reply for everyone that commented on this post. Most didn’t realize what they were commenting on :sob: I so appreciate everyone that did remove their comments.

@NyushaDm - good idea :custom_butterfly:

In a previous thread on this subject, I had suggested using a blockchain mechanism to identify the original creator and then have a “read-only” flag for the creation (build mode and CAZ), that should be set by the original creator before uploading to Canvas.

The original creation stays with the creator, and just the read-only copy (like a PDF from a document) is uploaded on Canvas. Such creations with a read-only flag can be downloaded and locally changed, but cannot (should not) be able to be re-uploaded to Canvas. The embedded blockchain identifier will ensure that the original creator is credited with the creation even if someone bypasses the Canvas workflow and directly shares the creation with another.

Have a Read-Only flag and a blockchain like identifier for Canvas Uploads (Topic: Stop the Clones in the Gallery!)

@DivineManifest Very clever if this can be done :psycat_paw:

@DivineManifest I remember your suggestions, they’re great! But the developers don’t want to listen to us.

@VIBES This is another way to stand up for your rights. When I see blatant plagiarism, I always mention the original author in the comments. That way, other players understand that it’s fake.
