Should inZOI implement a creator controlled feature in Canvas to protect creations from being re-uploaded?

I couldn’t agree with you more. This approach of “as long as your name is there” means nothing. People is not going to scroll down and see it and say “oh, better download from the original creator then!”. And its just… why is the people doing wrong being premiated while creators that put love, hours and effort into the game get ignored, at best.

This is an issue that truly upsets me. Like I have a person lowkey stalking me due to something like this… after stealing my creations!

Similar issue has happend to me. But the creation that was reuplaoded didn’t even show my name as a creator. My creation was placed in a different lot and re-uploaded and the thief took all the credit for it. He has reached top 9 creation that week. The same guy also has stolen one of Yukio’s french palace. I have contacted inZOI’s support and they said that Canvas was constructed for everyone to upload creations as they see fit and they see no problem with people re-uploading other ppl creations and claiming them as their own. They probably affraid of deleting posts for some reason. Shame on them for chooising that side. And this poor judgement is the reason why I haven’t been uploading lately. I have been working on some builds tho. Let’s make some noise

Really, it’s so unfair

This is totally unacceptable - I did report that creator and deleted my comment there. I feel really bad - I didn’t know and I’m very sorry :broken_heart:

I don’t understand why this isn’t getting the urgent attention it deserves

100% agree with this - creations shouldn’t even be allowed to get reuploaded in the first place

There is no way you could have known. There is nothing to be sorry about.

There was a discussion under one of “his” other work that made him hide Yukio’s palace. And if you look how many post he has hidden you can probably tell that this wasn’t his first or even second time. He cannot hide post anymore because there is a limit of 10. And if you check his other houses you can easly tell which houses he has built himself. There are more stolen projects on his profile for sure. Karma is a B.

What kind of a person changes granite on shower’s wall to big wooden logs in a bathroom? The guy is obviously next level evil. I can only wish it was stolen by someone with at least a little touch of a style:D

My post on reddit started a small war yesterday. It was supposed to be a satire. Well, it is what it is.

History has a way to repeat itself and sooner or later it is gonna happen again to me, you or any other creator out there. We cannot stop it. It is up to KRAFTON to protect rights of creators like us and not being afraid to take stolen creations down from thiefs. It is us who should have rights and not them. One redditer wrote me yesterday that only valuable things get stolen. It is very much true. Nevertheless it shouldn’t stop us from doing what we love. There are more people that can and will appreciate the work we put in our creations than ones who just want to take credit for someone else’s hard work.

:this: :thankyou: You hit the nail on the head there - inZOi please take note.

  exactly! Jokes aside, you couldn’t be more right. There has to be a way to prevent this from happening, I wish it would get addressed a bit more in depth, because it is indeed up to Krafton/InZoi Studio and no one else to protect us and nurture a healthier community.

That’s the last straw. I’m not sharing anything anymore. This honestly disgusts me. All that work, only for someone to repost it exactly as it is, with the same signature outfit I specifically chose for the Zois I share. And what did they even add? A pair of sunglasses. I’m so fed up with this

:downcast_face_with_sweat::downcast_face_with_sweat::downcast_face_with_sweat::sob::broken_heart: It’s not ok - I don’t understand why this is still going on - Krafton/inZOI please come up with some protection for creators - please:downcast_face_with_sweat:

Up for this topic, let’s keep it active every day!!!

Please, InZOI team, evaluate this issue because it’s becoming quite unpleasant and poisoning the community =(

@dw62801 seriously, they actually responded to you like that?! I can’t believe it, they must have misunderstood the issue

I voted for better protection of creators because I greatly appreciate their work. Many of them invest an incredible amount of time, creativity, and passion into their builds and make them available to the community for free – often creating things that I could never pull off myself. I’m truly grateful for that. Without these creators, Canvas wouldn’t be what it is today.

While reading through the posts, I had a thought.

Perhaps in the long run, it would make sense to divide Canvas into two clearly separate areas.

An open area for creators who want to deliberately release their work for further development and collaborative design. There, rough structures, templates, or other projects could be created that the community can build upon.

And a protected area where re-uploads wouldn’t be possible in principle. Anyone publishing something there could be sure that their work won’t simply be downloaded, slightly modified, and then re-uploaded under a different profile.

Especially with Canvas Town in mind, I wonder if that wouldn’t make sense in the long term. The larger and more elaborate the projects become, the more important it is in my opinion to protect the work of creators while also giving those who want to collaborate deliberately their own space to do so.

This is just a thought from me. Of course, I don’t know what the technical possibilities are. But I hope a solution will be found that both protects creators and enables creative collaboration where it’s explicitly desired.

Thank you @RealmOfZoi - it really is quite unpleasant

I 100% agree with this - people spend a lot of time on their creations and getting it reuploaded against their wishes or without credit, just crush their creativity and willingness to share.
There must be a way for creators to have this option :custom_butterfly:

Great news and an update on my case!

I wanted to share with you all that after pushing back firmly and submitting a formal appeal based on the Canvas guidelines, the inZOI specialized department finally reviewed my case and the unauthorized duplicate of my Brutalist Bliss house has been blocked!

This proves that when we don’t back down and present clear arguments with the rules in hand, support does listen. They also explicitly mentioned in their email that they are reviewing these issues from “various perspectives” for broader policy and service updates, which means our discussions and suggestions are actually being taken into consideration for the future of Canvas.

This victory reinforces why we need to keep pushing for an automated, algorithmic system. Manual reporting shouldn’t be our only line of defense; a smart system that flags exact structural and visual copies before they even enter the rankings is the definitive way to protect every builder’s hard work.

Thank you to everyone who has been supporting this thread. Let’s keep the momentum going so the platform becomes a truly fair environment for all original creators! :thankyou: :custom_heart:

Congratulations i support you!

That is excellent news - I’m so happy for you..!! Yay:clap::clap:
Does this mean then that everyone needs to make a formal appeal? How does one do that? I assumed my report and their response was the end of the road…
I would also like to know what will happen to all the other creations that were reported?
I am so happy that it looks like something will be done at the end of the day :custom_butterfly:
