Hello, I don’t understand why I’ve still been here for the past 2 months, and this issue hasn’t been resolved yet. I come here every day hoping someone could fix the bug in inZOI, my favorite game, but every single time I leave disappointed. Today, I decided to create an account so I can voice my frustration directly to the game development team. ```
You guys created a great game, you convinced us to buy it, everything was fine until you released a patch, since then even many people haven't been able to access the game since the end of April, and you've decided to abandon us.
It’s been over two months and this issue is still happening. What is the development team doing? At the very least, some communication or an update on the investigation would help reassure affected players.
I had this issue on one of my windows devices. As I was troubleshooting, I believe it’s tied to how Steam is trying to launch the game. What ended up working for me was viewing it in store and clicking “Play” on the Cahaya DLC. It worked and now it launches just fine using the “Play” button in the library. There seems to be an issue in the configuration path where Steam is trying to launch the game.
Another thing I noticed on this device with the issue was that Steam showed it had an update, and I installed it. But when I checked for updates again, it would show one available. Instead of clicking to install it, close Steam and reboot the computer. When Steam launches and runs through the update, check again to make sure it installed. I’m not sure if this affected the issue as well, but I did complete these steps before I was able to get the game to launch. All my other Steam games launched just fine.
I don’t see Steam repeatedly showing updates like you described. Also, when you clicked “Play” on the Cahaya DLC page, did the game launch successfully right away, or was there something else you had to do afterward?
I recently read the latest inZOI post, and it sounds like there are still quite a few stability issues even after the 0.9.0 update. The developers said they’ll be focusing on fixes next week, but I don’t know if that includes this issue.
At this point, I’m not sure whether it’s something specific to my PC, a rare issue affecting only a small number of players like me, or a problem between Steam and the game itself that only impacts certain users.
I’m really hoping next week’s fixes will finally resolve it, because I’d love to be able to play the game again after all this time.
Yes, it launched successfully and has continued to since then. I didn’t make any other changes. I didn’t sign out of Steam or re-link my Krafton account or anything. I had tested other reasons specifically to why this error could occur with a game on Steam. It does happen to other games and it’s usually because something is being blocked. For some reason it works for users when they use the previous versions but not the newest version. This is why I’m assuming there is an issue with the configuration. But it becomes specific to your files on your device. Try deleting your Steam’s cache.
I’ve already cleared the cache, but it still doesn’t work. I also removed all mods and went back to a completely clean game installation, but the issue remains. I even tried launching it through the DLC page like you suggested, but that didn’t work either.
Honestly, I don’t understand what’s causing it anymore. At this point, I’m worried that if I keep trying random fixes, I might end up causing problems with my Steam account.
Not to be too technical, but the token used to authenticate the Inzoi session was either corrupted or is now being blocked by the firewall on your device and now the authentication cannot be made. If it’s the token, you’ll need to force Steam to download fresh auth binaries. If it’s the Firewall, check to make sure inzoi is still being allowed through on both public and private networks. If you have sharing turned on, on your device to allow other devices on your network to see your computer, keep in mind Windows considers this network public.
I’ve already allowed the inZOI executable through Windows Firewall on public networks. My internet connection is a private home network, so I’m not really sure whether any sharing settings are enabled or not, and no one else uses this PC.
What’s confusing is that I can still play normally when I roll back to version 0.7.x. But starting from version 0.8.0 and onward, I keep getting the “Steam Verification Failed” error. I really don’t understand what’s causing it.
After the new update june 19 unfortunately the steam failed error sill there
Is there any real solution for this problem soon it been now above two month!!
I have already sent the diagnostic report and requested files to the email address provided by the development team. I hope the team can take a look when possible.
If some of my PC information is included in the diagnostic files, is there any security risk? I just want to make sure it’s safe before sharing the logs.
I’ve sent my save file and crash files several times no problem. But you can send the SteamDiagnostics.log file by email.I would advise against posting diagnostic information here of course. But if the developer doesn’t mind you sharing it then go ahead and share it.
I would really like to share the files directly as you suggested so the developers can see the issue as quickly and clearly as possible. However, when I read the note saying, “Some files—such as DxDiag reports, logs, or crash dumps—may contain system information including your Windows username or computer name. Please review the contents before uploading,” I became a little concerned.
To be safe, I decided to send everything by email instead. Hopefully that’s okay.
That’s right. I submitted the report through email with the subject line: “inZOI: [Report Ticket Received]”. They also included a note saying, “Please reply to this email with any files requested by the inZOI Team in the forum thread.”
So I assumed replying to that email with the requested files would be the correct way to provide the information safely.
