Yes, Of course and you can check out to my file. Also your (extra) solution doesn’t work for me…
Windows.zip (2.8 KB)
I will try it later when I get back home.
Thank you so much!
Unplugging my laptop before loading the game worked and my ultra/max graphics are back ![]()

(the v0.7.3 hotfix dropped an hour ago didn’t work but trying this unplugging method afterwards did; so happy to be back in game again)

Happy this work around works and we can play without having to sacrifice, what we bought our computer’s for, to play a game on ultra settings without worry about whether it could handle it.

Hi @francesca.montenero and @coya_nade,
It looks like Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling may currently be turned off on your system.
Could you please try enabling it and let us know if this improves the issue?
You can enable it by going to:
Settings → System → Display → Graphics → Advanced graphics settings → Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling → Turn it On, then restart your PC.
Additionally, could you try modifying the following setting:
Open the GameUserSettings.ini file in C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\BlueClient\Saved\Config\Windows
Find DLSSG_Mode and set its value to 0
→ DLSSG_Mode=0
Save the file after making the change
After trying both steps, please let us know if there is any improvement.
yeah it was previously on until we turned it off after discovering it was one of the first workarounds to get the game not to crash. it’s back on now because we found a different temporary workaround.
Hello, thank you for the clarification. The workaround you’ve mentioned is this one, right?
Yes. That is the one. You unplug the power source, it goes onto battery mode. Load up game, when the game loads up, plug back in and play. No crashing at start up and no crashing during play so far, at least not for me. Fingers crossed, don’t want to jinx it. Also your work arounds and the current hot fix did not work, but this does and we do not have to change anything on our end except temporarily unplug while the game loads. Hopefully, you guys can still figure out what went wrong with the update and fix it so we do not have to do anything but play the game.
Good morning. I disabled that GPU function only because disabling it allows the game to start. If I re-enable it, the game won’t start. As for the second option, I’ll try it and let you know. Thank you so much! Hopefully we can resolve this and get the graphics back to normal by being able to re-enable the GPU ![]()
Thank you so much for this suggestion. I’ll give it a try as soon as possible and let you know. Thanks team!!![]()
I’m having this issue after the latest 1 year anniversary update. I cannot load my saved game. I thought the old saved game was not working cause it crashed with this new update, so i created a new zoi and played for a while. Then i stopped playing and saved the game. When i tried to play again and load the saved file, my game crashes. Tried a few times and still the same. I had also tried the Resolving Crash Issues After the Latest Update still not working for me. I even uninstalled the game and still the same. I’m beginning to get frustrated after trying to fix my game for almost 3 hours now. Please help cause nothing seems to work.
Hey there, thank you for adding your feedback to this thread. The team released a brand new hotfix addressing this issue about two hours ago.
“Fixed an issue where a crash occurred when moving cities after loading certain save files” was mentioned in there. Please check it out and let us know whether the issue still occurs or not ![]()
